The Right Horse Initiative is a group of horse industry professionals and equine advocates focused on supporting at-risk equines and increasing the number of successful horse adoptions in the United States. We are good people for good horses.

Our mission is to protect the integrity of New Mexico's livestock industry. Our team of over sixty full time inspectors and another sixty-some full and part time deputies continuously patrol and perform inspections around our state to help keep our livestock free from disease and safe from theft.

We believe youth who engage with horses grow in leadership and life skills. By empowering adults who teach youth about horses, and connecting them with resources, we are fostering a thriving horse industry.
