This webinar reviews historical approaches to deworming and provides current recommendations for best practices based upon recent research in the field. Horse owners will learn which parasites to focus on based upon the horse’s age and which commercially available deworming agents may offer the best control in that situation. We will also discuss components of a strategic deworming program.

About Our Speaker:

Jason L. Turner is a Professor and Extension Horse Specialist at NMSU. He was active in 4-H and FFA while growing up in Northeastern Oklahoma. His M.S. and Ph.D. studies concentrated on equine reproduction, health, and management. His Extension programs focus on proper care and management of the horse for youth and adults.
